For the first time, an aircraft has successfully crossed the ocean using cooking oil as fuel, reaching London from Britain.


The Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787 Dreamliner successfully completed a journey from Heathrow Airport in London to JFK Airport in New York on Tuesday, November 28th. It’s noteworthy that this transatlantic flight was fueled using 100% sustainable aviation fuel known as cooking oil. A video of the transatlantic journey, powered by cooking oil, was shared on Virgin Atlantic’s social media handles.
