Agra: Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express narrowly escaped an accident on Wednesday morning. The incident was averted due to the alertness of the gatekeeper. The train was stopped at the Rundhi station after smoke was observed in the second-class and goods compartment with a guard brake van (SLR). The locomotive pilot, guard, and passengers initiated firefighting efforts, and soil was thrown to control the situation. After a delay of 20 minutes, the train resumed its journey towards Agra.
