The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported on Monday that dense to very dense fog is likely to persist in some parts of northern and eastern India over the next three days, gradually reducing thereafter. During Monday to Thursday, heavy rainfall is expected in Lakshadweep, South Tamil Nadu on Monday and Tuesday, and in Kerala on Monday and Thursday.
