Senior leader of the Madhya Pradesh unit of the Indian National Congress, Kamal Nath, dismissed rumors on Saturday of joining the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that politicians are independent and not obligated to be associated with any organization. Kamal Nath was responding to questions from reporters about the possibility of his Congress colleagues, such as Acharya Pramod Krishna, joining the BJP.
