In the state, beneficial schemes are also being implemented for the welfare of the people. Asim Arun mentioned regarding his department that to alleviate the difficulties encountered in obtaining Old Age Pension, the Social Welfare Department is initiating a scheme as a pilot project. Under this scheme, a family ID will be created for all families through their ration cards. Based on this ID, elderly individuals who have turned 60 within the family will automatically be eligible for Old Age Pension from the department. There will be no need to wander between departments for this.
