The Kovind Committee deliberated with economists on the issue of simultaneous elections and also discussed with the Election Commissioner of Gujarat.

A high-level committee chaired by former President Ram Nath Kovind, formed on “One Nation, One Election,” discussed research papers authored by former Finance Commission Chairman NK Singh on Wednesday. Economists, including Prachi Mishra from the International Monetary Fund’s Systemic Division, deliberated on the paper titled “Macroeconomic Impact of Harmonizing Electoral Cycles.”
