Lawyers Association Elections: Harsh Kumar elected as Senior Vice President and Rajesh Singh Parihar as Joint Secretary of the Law Library.

In the Kanpur Lawyers Association elections, Harsh Kumar has been elected as the Senior Vice President and Rajesh Singh Parihar as the Joint Minister of the Law Library. The counting of votes for the positions of Senior Vice President and Joint Minister of the Law Library began on Thursday morning, the second day of voting. The results were announced around 2:30 in the afternoon. Harsh Kumar, who secured 1924 votes, defeated his closest competitor Ramakant Mishra with 702 votes. Ramakant Mishra had to settle for 1222 votes. Sudhir Kumar Awasthi secured the third position with 754 votes, followed by Veerendra Kumar Sachan with 495 votes and Shailendra Dutt Tripathi with 450 votes. 95 votes were declared invalid. Meanwhile, Rajesh Singh Parihar was elected as the Joint Minister of the Law Library with 1973 votes, defeating Tarun Kumar Kushwaha who received 1677 votes and Shashi Gautam who received 1201 votes, securing the second and third positions respectively. In a close contest, Rajesh defeated Tarun by a margin of 296 votes. 89 votes were declared invalid.
