A horrific fire broke out in the Panchaal Ghat area on the banks of the Ganges during the Magh Mela in Shriramnagariya around midnight on the eastern side of the bridge on the Etawah-Bareilly highway, causing several gas cylinders to explode, leading to panic. The fire brigade vehicles present in the fair area reached the spot immediately, and after strenuous efforts, the fire was brought under control.
