Lucknow, June 29 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin will visit Lucknow on July 3 and 4 as part of a two-day organisational tour, party sources said on Monday.
The visit comes at a time when the BJP is intensifying its preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
According to sources, the BJP chief will undertake a comprehensive review of the party’s organisational functioning and assess the election preparedness in the state.
His visit is being viewed as significant, particularly in the backdrop of the impending announcement of the new Uttar Pradesh BJP organisational structure and the party’s strategy for the 2027 Assembly elections.
On Thursday, the BJP announced a new organisational team for Uttar Pradesh, carrying out a major restructuring of its state unit ahead of the Assembly elections. The list, released by state president Pankaj Chaudhary, includes appointments to several key positions, with 19 state vice presidents, eight state general secretaries, and 19 state secretaries named.
The reshuffle appears to be the party’s attempt to strike a balance across social groups and regions, while also inducting fresh faces and assigning them significant responsibilities.
Meanwhile, during his stay in Lucknow, the BJP chief is expected to hold separate meetings with senior party leaders and representatives of various affiliated organisations to discuss organisational coordination, grassroots mobilisation, and the roadmap for the upcoming elections.
He is also likely to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionaries as part of the consultations aimed at strengthening coordination between the government, the party, and the ideological organisation.
In addition to reviewing the formation of the new state team, Nitin Nabin is expected to interact with regional organisational leaders to gather feedback on political developments and the party’s preparedness at the grassroots level.
Party sources believe the visit will play an important role in finalising the organisational roadmap and election strategy for Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Assembly elections.
