Creating new opportunities for youth is the resolve guiding the development of a new Uttar Pradesh: CM Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said, “Expanding public amenities, encouraging investment and creating new opportunities for youth through innovation constitute the resolve guiding the development of a new Uttar Pradesh.”

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, the Chief Minister wrote that today, on the auspicious birth anniversary of Adikavi Maharishi Valmiki Ji, he would have the privilege of advancing this very resolve of public welfare and the well-being of the people at Bithoor, his sacred land of penance. On this occasion, I will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for 48 development projects worth more than ₹411 crore in the Bilhaur and Bithoor Assembly constituencies in Bithoor, Kanpur Nagar. Certificates will also be distributed to beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes on this occasion.

CM Yogi wrote, “On the one hand, there are development projects aimed at improving people’s lives, while on the other, there are investment and innovation opportunities that will shape the future of youth. Taking this vision of development forward, I will inaugurate the GCC Innovation Summit 2026 in Lucknow. The MoUs to be signed with global companies and universities on this occasion will open up new avenues for technological research, innovation and high-skill-based employment. Under the able guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the resolve of the double-engine government is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society and that the youth of Uttar Pradesh get the opportunity to establish a global identity on their own soil.”

The Chief Minister wrote, today symbolises Uttar Pradesh’s journey, in which new possibilities for the future are being created by drawing inspiration from its glorious heritage. On the one hand, the state is celebrating the birth anniversary of Adikavi Maharishi Valmiki Ji, who, through the Ramayana, introduced generations of people to the life and character of Prabhu Shri Ram and the ideals of Ram Rajya. On the other hand, the GCC Innovation Summit 2026 is providing an opportunity to give a new direction to the possibilities of making Uttar Pradesh a major centre for global technology, innovation and a knowledge-based economy.

The CM wrote, “Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana is not merely our cultural heritage, but also a tradition of knowledge, propriety and public welfare that has guided society for ages. Today, there is an opportunity to take this knowledge tradition forward in a modern context, where science and technology connect the talent of youth with new opportunities and enable them to gain global recognition for their capabilities. Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh had neither respect for its heritage nor a place for science and development. Under a self-absorbed regime, expanding investment and employment opportunities in line with the state’s potential and industrial and technological capabilities was a major challenge.”

The Chief Minister said, “Today, Uttar Pradesh is developing new possibilities on the strength of its improving connectivity, electronics manufacturing, digital infrastructure and investment-oriented policies. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while India has emerged as the ‘GCC Capital of the World’, Uttar Pradesh is now becoming a hub of India’s electronics ecosystem. Maharishi Valmiki’s pursuit of knowledge guided Indian society for ages; today, the power of knowledge and innovation is giving a new direction to the future of Uttar Pradesh’s youth.”

He further added that the vision of Viksit Uttar Pradesh will be realised through this very convergence, where values are drawn from heritage, capabilities are developed through education, and new pathways to prosperity are opened through technology, enabling the state to play a strong global role in India’s knowledge-based economy while taking pride in its cultural identity.
