Experience the Ramayana in a cinematic spectacle at Deepotsav this year

Under the leadership of the Yogi Adityanath govt, Ayodhya’s cultural and spiritual identity continues to gain prominence. This year, the 10th grand edition of Deepotsav in Ayodhya will showcase a spectacular fusion of technology and art. A magnificent cinematic facade, approximately 300 feet long and 50 feet high, based on the Ramayana theme, is being created in the middle of the Saryu River at Ram Ki Paidi.

Through cutting-edge technology, the entire saga of the Ramayana will be brought to life on this giant structure. With this initiative of the Yogi government, the story of the Ramayana on the banks of the Saryu will not merely be heard but also seen and experienced through state-of-the-art technology.

The Yogi government has not only established Ayodhya’s global identity as the sacred city of Lord Ram but has also given a new dimension to its cultural celebrations.

Deepotsav is no longer merely a festival of lighting diyas; it has evolved into a symbol of the confluence of art, technology and faith. This year’s celebration will create a grand cinematic experience through the precise synchronisation of a massive LED wall and high-end projectors.

According to a representative of Delhi-based company ‘Modern Stage Service’, the remarkable coordination of high-resolution visuals displayed on the LED wall with projection mapping on the facade, combined with lasers, dynamic lighting and immersive sound effects, will bring key episodes from the Ramayana to life. Through this special presentation, lasting approximately 22 minutes, the entire saga of the Ramayana will be portrayed in a visually captivating manner using advanced technology.

Alongside this, around 150 artists from across the country, including Delhi and Mumbai, will portray various Ramayana characters on stage. Through live performances, precise coordination of the LED wall and projectors, and spectacular laser and lighting effects, a grand and unforgettable Ramayana experience will unfold on the banks of the Saryu, taking the appeal of Deepotsav to new heights.

The Yogi Adityanath government’s vision is clear: Ayodhya should not only emerge as a centre of religious tourism but also become a platform for world-class cultural events. The world records set and grand celebrations organised during Deepotsav in previous years stand as testimony to this vision.

This year’s cinematic facade is an extension of the same vision, which seeks to connect traditional faith with modern technology and attract the younger generation.

Through the government’s efforts, cultural activities in Ayodhya have received priority alongside infrastructure development. In view of the rise in tourist footfall following the consecration of the Ram Temple, such events are expected to give a further boost to tourism.

The 10th edition of Deepotsav is set to become a vibrant testament to Ayodhya’s emerging identity and the Yogi government’s commitment to preserving and promoting India’s cultural heritage.
