Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an action plan has been laid down for November-December 2026 and January 2027 to make the state’s school education system more qualitative, outcome-oriented and accountable. Instructions issued by Director General, School Education, and State Project Director Monika Rani emphasize regular monitoring of educational activities through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensuring targets are achieved within the stipulated timelines.
District- and block-level officers have been instructed to implement the prescribed activities and upload progress details on the relevant portal. Officers have been directed to complete all activities within the stipulated timeframe and record the progress on the relevant portal. KPIs will be reviewed in monthly meetings to strengthen scheme implementation, target achievement, and accountability.
Under quality education, instructions have been issued to organize district-level meetings, monthly reviews by the District Task Force (DTF) based on data received from the Indicator National Benchmarking and Monitoring Committee (NBMC), weekly reviews by Basic Shiksha Adhikaris (BSAs) with Block Education Officers (BEOs) and monthly meetings of BEOs and Academic Resource Persons (ARPs). Minutes of the meetings will be uploaded to the portal. Timely availability of information on activity implementation and expenditure details under Samagra Shiksha and the PM POSHAN Scheme on the portal will also be ensured.
Under teacher training, emphasis will be placed on block-level training, training for teachers as per instructions, and the use of digital teaching materials in classrooms. Along with ensuring that teachers use digital content available on DIKSHA and NISHTHA courses, project-based, activity-based and catch-up learning will be made effective. Monitoring will also cover achievement of NIPUN Lakshya, student assessments, and updating progress reports and tables.
As per the prescribed schedule, NIPUN Vidyalaya assessment of students in classes 1 and 2 will be completed transparently and within the stipulated timeframe from December 21 to 30, 2026 and January 20 to 30, 2027. Emphasis will also be placed on ensuring that students achieve NIPUN Lakshya and that schools use project-based teaching materials.
Under construction-related activities, the progress and quality of construction of CM Model Composite Schools across all 75 districts of the state will be monitored. Under girls’ education, instructions have been issued to complete approved KGBV construction works, monitor the attendance and enrolment status of girl students and ensure that the concerned officers inspect the prescribed number of schools.
Under RTE, the portal will carry out 100% verification of allotted children. Under pre-primary education, monitoring will cover admissions of children in the 3 to 6 years age group to Bal Vatika, ECCE activities, and coordination with Anganwadi centers. Under community participation, activities related to Learning by Doing, School Chalo Abhiyan and surveys and enrolment of out-of-school children will be undertaken.
Under inclusive education, instructions have been issued to identify children with special needs, ensure the availability of assistive devices and resources and update the required data on the U-DISE+ portal. Under MIS, progress will be recorded for activities related to fresh enrolments on the U-DISE portal, information required for district rankings, ICT, smart classrooms, digital libraries and APAAR IDs.
