The court has stated that those getting jobs will also have to pay interest at a rate of 12% annually. The High Court’s decision in the SSC case is a big blow to the state government just before the Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, the School Service Commission has informed that they will knock on the doors of the Supreme Court against this decision. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has deemed the High Court’s decision illegal.
