BRS leader K Kavitha has reached out to the presidents of 47 political parties, including J P Nadda and Mallikarjun Kharge, the heads of BJP and Congress respectively. She has urged them to come together and work towards the long-awaited Women’s Reservation Bill’s passage during the upcoming special session of Parliament.
Among these leaders are Chief Ministers such as Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh, Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi, Nitish Kumar of Bihar, M K Stalin of Tamil Nadu, Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal, and Naveen Patnaik of Odisha.
In her separate letters to these leaders, she emphasized the importance of setting aside political differences and giving priority to passing the Bill. Kavitha emphasized that increasing women’s representation is not about exclusivity but about creating a more equitable and balanced political landscape.
