ndian-origin media executive Dr. Sameer Shah was confirmed as the new Chairman of BBC on Thursday. His selection was approved by King Charles III this week after the completion of the appointment stages.
Shah, who has worked in the media sector in Britain for more than 40 years, was selected as the government’s preferred candidate in December last year. After completion of pre-appointment question-answer phase by ruling and opposition MPs in the House of Commons Media Culture, Media and Sports Select Committee, Shah’s name was recommended which was approvedKing Charles III.
