

A sudden fire broke out at Sardhana Kotwali police station of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. In no time, the fire took a gigantic form and engulfed the Malkhana and other parts of the police station. While extinguishing the fire, two constables posted at the police station were seriously burnt, who have been referred to Meerut for treatment.

In fact, the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the mess of the Sardhana Kotwali complex in Meerut’s rural area. The fire engulfed the pipe of the gas cylinder kept nearby and after that the cylinder exploded, after which the mess building including the malkhana of the police station was also engulfed. Due to the manner in which the fire broke out, it is feared that the records kept in the police station have also been burnt. At the same time, dozens of vehicles standing in the police station were burnt to ashes. Due to the fire, there was a stir in the area and the policemen deployed in the police station gathered to extinguish the fire. The fire was so fierce that its flames could be seen far and wide. While extinguishing the fire, 2 constables have been seriously burnt, the rest of the other constables have also suffered minor injuries.
