Nainital forest inspector recruitment gets green signal

Nainital: The Uttarakhand High Court, in its important order issued on Tuesday, has given green signal to the ongoing recruitment process to fill 316 posts of Forest Inspector (Forester). A bench headed by the Chief Justice has set aside the order of the single bench.
The single bench had issued an interim order on June 22, 2023, staying the Forester recruitment process conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC). The matter was challenged on behalf of some of the candidates. On behalf of the petitioners, it was said that the Commission adopted the recruitment process to fill 316 posts of Forester and the written examination was also conducted in April 2021, but in the meantime the UKSSSC exam recruitment scam came to the fore. The Special Task Force (SIT) after probing the matter arrested some of the accused of plagiarism. After the confirmation of large scale cheating in the examination, the commission scrapped the entire recruitment process. Also started the new recruitment process. After the written test, the successful candidates were also selected for the interview.
