The number of tigers in India is expected to increase from 2,967 in 2018 to 3,682 in 2022. In this way, an annual increase of six percent has been registered in the number of tigers. This information has been given in the latest government data released on International Tiger Day on Saturday.
Releasing the figures for 2022 in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, Union Minister of State for Forest, Environment and Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey said that with this the tiger population in India has become 75 percent of the global figures.
