Tea production declined by 3.7 per cent year-on-year to 137.8 million kg in June this year. In June 2022, this figure was 14.31 crore kg.
According to the provisional figures of the Tea Board, during the month under review, 109.7 million kg of tea was produced in North India, while the production quantity in South India was 28.15 million kg.
