India has vehemently dismissed the remarks made by UN experts regarding Manipur,

Characterizing them as “unwarranted, presumptive, and misleading.” The Indian mission conveyed its stance in a note verbale addressed to the Special Procedures Branch of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on Monday. The note emphasized that Manipur currently enjoys a peaceful and stable environment, and the Indian government remains dedicated to taking necessary measures to uphold this peace and stability. Furthermore, it reiterated the government’s commitment to safeguarding the human rights of all Indian citizens, including those residing in Manipur.
