Justice Ashish J Desai was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court on Saturday. He will replace Justice SV Bhatti who was recently elevated as a Supreme Court judge.
Desai was serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office to Desai at a function held at the Raj Bhavan. Besides Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Law Minister P Rajeev, Chief Secretary V Venu and senior IAS and IPS officers were also present at the function.
