With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, several crucial issues from Haryana will come to the forefront before the public. Among these is the issue of the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal. People of Haryana are still longing for water from the SYL canal. The water from the SYL canal will irrigate 10.08 lakh acres of land in Haryana. Improvement is also expected in areas of southern Haryana where the groundwater level is declining significantly.
