The pediatric surgery department at Apollo Medics Hospital in Lucknow successfully performed a challenging and complex surgery to create a complete food pipe for an 8-month-old child from Nepal. The child, who had not developed a food pipe since birth, underwent a nearly six-hour operation in which doctors used a portion of his stomach to construct the food pipe.
