Ministry of Culture for senior artistes aged 60 years and above, who have made significant contribution in their specific fields of performance, art and culture but are facing financial difficulties due to old age. Operates a scheme named “Financial Assistance Scheme for Senior Artists”.
As per the existing scheme guidelines, financial assistance up to Rs. 6000/- per month is being provided to the selected artists, irrespective of the State/UT of the concerned beneficiary. 11,233 artistes from different States/Union Territories have been selected under the scheme.
