The National Human Rights Commission will investigate paid period leave for working women in India including Odisha. NHRC will research and evaluate the current policy implemented to ensure women’s rights. Rights activists and lawyer Radhakanta Tripathy filed the petition, emphasizing the need for policy and administrative measures for women’s basic dignity, establish guidelines during menstruation and to prevent infections during menstrual periods.
