BJP has announced candidates for three seats in Punjab, including two female candidates. Anita Somaprasad has been given the ticket from Hoshiarpur. She is the wife of Union Minister Somaprasad. From Khadoor Sahib, Manjit Singh Manna Miyanwind, and from Bathinda, former IAS Parampal Kaur have been given tickets. Parampal Kaur recently joined BJP after retiring from service a few days ago. She is the daughter-in-law of senior Akali leader Sikander Singh Maluka.
