In June 2023, an increase has been registered in CPI based retail inflation. CPE retail inflation has reached a three-month high. According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics, CPI inflation reached 4.81 percent in June as against 4.31 percent in May. In June, urban inflation increased from 4.33% to 4.96% while rural inflation increased from 4.23% to 4.72%. Food inflation increased from 2.96% to 4.49% this month.
