The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc of opposition parties has taken a stance to boycott four TV news channels and 14 TV news anchors.

This decision comes in response to alleged provocative and communal debate shows, with the aim of refocusing the nation’s attention on real issues. The boycotted news channels are Times Now, Republic Bharat, Sudarshan News, and Doordarshan.

The INDIA bloc has released a list of TV anchors targeted for the boycott. The Congress Party and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have jointly shared this list. Congress leader Pawan Khera made the list public and stated, “Decision taken by INDIA Media Committee on September 14, 2023. Pursuant to the decision taken by the INDIA Coordination Committee in its meeting on September 13, 2023, the INDIA parties will not send their representatives to the shows and events of the following anchors.”
