The UP Lift Act has now been implemented in the state. With this, Uttar Pradesh has become the 11th state in the country where the Lift Act is applicable. Under this act, people will be required to adhere to the rules before and after installing a lift. In the event of any accident, the building owner will be required to inform the District Magistrate.
