UPITS-2026 to showcase UP’s global trade expansion, international business connect to strengthen with participation of 06 countries

Uttar Pradesh is now strengthening its identity not only as a major market in the country, but also as a major center for global trade, investment and manufacturing. Efforts by the state government, under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, to attract investment, promote exports, and connect the state’s entrepreneurs with global markets will also be visible at the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS)-2026.

UPITS-2026, to be held from September 25 to 29 at India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida, will have Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus as Partner Countries. The participation of 06 countries will help strengthen UP’s ‘Local to Global’ concept. Representatives of the Partner Countries will showcase their products and technology and directly interact with entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses from the state. This will create possibilities for business partnerships, technological cooperation and new business opportunities.

According to the Partner Country Plan for UPITS-2026, Vietnam has been allocated 54 square meters, Japan 54 square meters, Singapore and Russia 36 square meters each, and Austria 54 square meters. The proposed list for these 05 countries includes 36 exhibitors and 100 buyers. Belarus has also been included as a Partner Country, with CM and B2B activities proposed. This participation is even more significant because the activities will not be limited to product displays alone. A roadmap has been prepared to advance business relations through B2B meetings, country sessions, roundtables, and interactions with high-level delegations.

Special sessions for foreign delegations to interact with CM Yogi Adityanath have been proposed under the Partner Country program of UPITS-2026. Interaction sessions for representatives of different countries are scheduled for September 25. Delegations from Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Austria, and Belarus will include ambassadors, high commissioners, trade commissioners, economic and commercial representatives, and senior industry representatives. These include H.E. Keiichi Ono, Ambassador of Japan to India; H.E. Simon Wong, High Commissioner of Singapore to India; Andrei Sobolev, Trade Commissioner of Russia; and Hans-Jorg Hortenagl, Trade Commissioner and Commercial Counselor of Austria, among others.

Vietnam’s participation will cover diverse sectors such as aviation, tourism, agriculture, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, food, textiles, garments, handicrafts and electric vehicles. Vietnam Airlines, tourism companies, pharma and health-related enterprises, and other companies have also been invited to participate. This will give entrepreneurs from Uttar Pradesh an opportunity to connect with potential international business partners in sectors such as aviation, tourism, pharma, agriculture-based industries, textiles, and electric mobility.

The Japan Pavilion will feature a broad range of products from the technology and industrial sectors. Companies such as Wacom India, Air and Water India, ITO EN, Sushi and More, Kito India and Taiyo India will represent areas such as signature devices, industrial gas, Japanese tea, Japanese food, lifting equipment and machinery spare parts. The Japan External Trade Organization, or JETRO, will also share information on investment and promotion policies.

Companies from Singapore will participate with video surveillance solutions, soldering equipment and products related to the education sector. Companies from Russia related to petrochemicals, industrial gas, laboratory equipment, diagnostic kits, oxygen solutions and recruitment and staffing services have been proposed. Meanwhile, Austria’s participation will include companies from areas such as forklifts and workshop equipment, intelligent transportation, decorative and lighting products and mobility and transport systems.

Under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government’s investment strategy focuses on attracting investment, facilitating investors, expanding industrial infrastructure, and connecting the state with global business networks. UPITS-2026 will serve as a platform to take this broader investment and business connect forward on the ground. Through the participation of Partner Countries, Uttar Pradesh will have the opportunity to expand access to foreign markets, develop new business partnerships, and explore opportunities for technological cooperation.

B2B meetings at UPITS will help establish direct contact between entrepreneurs from the state and foreign businesses. This will provide an opportunity to discuss business partnerships and potential investment proposals, rather than limiting the engagement to product displays alone. Vietnam has proposed a country session on the theme ‘Innovation Technologies and Tourism’. Meanwhile, Austria has proposed a knowledge session on the theme ‘Leveraging India’s Free Trade Agreements for Global Business Growth’. In this manner, the effort to bring trade, investment, technology, tourism and exports together on a single platform is set to take shape at UPITS-2026.

One of Uttar Pradesh’s major strengths is its extensive MSME network, traditional industries and local products. In this context, an important aspect of an international platform like UPITS is connecting local entrepreneurs and products from the state with foreign buyers. Such platforms can serve as a means of business connection for taking products from various districts of the state, handicrafts, textiles, agriculture-based products, food processing and other manufactured goods to international markets. Many international buyers and exhibitors from the state also participated in the previous edition of UPITS. Along the same lines, under the leadership of Yogi government, UPITS-2026 is set to become an important platform in Uttar Pradesh’s ‘Local to Global’ journey by taking investment facilitation, industrial development and global business connect forward together.
