Yogi govt to expand ‘Blue DotsAI’ platform to all 18 divisions of UP

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is expanding technology-driven initiatives to link skill development with employment and increase access to opportunities for young people. In this direction, the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) is preparing to extend its ‘Blue DotsAI’ platform to all 18 divisions of the state.

The platform will bring locally available jobs and skilled candidates together on a common digital platform, making it easier for young people to find employment suited to their qualifications while helping industries identify suitable candidates according to their requirements.

Under the guidance of Mission Director Pulkit Khare, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission and One Step Foundation on Thursday. With this, the initiative, which has been operational since June, has been formally integrated with the mission.

The initiative is expected to accelerate efforts to align skill training with the actual requirements of industries and make the job search process more accessible.

‘Blue DotsAI’ is a digital discovery platform that enables users to locate nearby job opportunities and candidates through a map-based interface. During its pilot project in Ghaziabad, more than 25,000 jobs within a radius of 20 to 25 kilometres were made searchable on the map. Building on this experience, the platform is now set to be expanded to all 18 divisions of Uttar Pradesh.

Through the platform, young people will be able to access information about the relevant company, number of vacancies, starting salary, overtime and facilities such as pick-up and drop-off services.

Companies, meanwhile, will be able to search candidate profiles according to their requirements. This will help establish a direct link between locally available employment opportunities and trained youth.

The platform will give priority to job opportunities in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturing and retail. These will include positions in sectors such as apparel and food and beverages, as well as technical roles such as welders, electricians and machine operators.

The initiative is expected to help local industries meet their human resource requirements while providing young people with opportunities suited to their skills.

A key feature of ‘Blue DotsAI’ is its AI-powered voice bot. Companies and industry associations will be able to communicate their recruitment requirements verbally in Hindi, English or other regional languages. This will simplify the process of listing vacancies on the digital platform.

The AI voice bot will also be able to contact candidates and inform them about available jobs matching their profiles. With the candidates’ consent, it will assist them with the application process.

In addition, the initiative will focus on preparing young people for employment through counselling, mock interviews and direct interaction with industry associations.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is emphasising efforts to connect young people with skill training, employment-oriented education and opportunities to develop competencies in line with industry requirements.

‘Blue DotsAI’ is a technology-driven initiative in this direction, aimed at improving coordination between the capabilities of trained youth and the requirements of employers.

According to Mission Director Pulkit Khare, the objective is to ensure that young people do not have to struggle unnecessarily to find jobs and can access locally available opportunities more easily. The mission will work towards making job searches and recruitment more effective through facilities such as digital mapping, an AI voice bot and counselling.
