In an effort to empower small businesses across the country, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and global company Meta-owned WhatsApp have added a major dimension to their partnership .
MUMBAI: In an effort to empower small businesses across the country, Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) and global company Meta-owned WhatsApp on Monday jointly announced to digitally train and skill one crore local traders in the country, adding a major dimension to their partnership.
The partnership aims to take digitization efforts to the end merchant across all 29 Indian states with hyper-localized digital training in 11 Indian languages to uncover growth opportunities for businesses.
Leveraging its extensive network of around eight crore merchants belonging to 40,000 merchant associations across India, CAT will conduct a series of workshops across the country designed to provide comprehensive digital and skills training to equip businesses with the necessary knowledge to digitize their storefronts and help them ‘go digital’.
Including ‘shop’ on WhatsApp’s Business app, educating them about features like catalogue, quick reply, click to WhatsApp that are available on the app, which make it easier for small businesses to engage with their customers efficiently. Over the years, WhatsApp Business app has provided micro, small businesses and solo entrepreneurs across India a democratized gateway to create a professional digital identity for their business as well as discover new markets and serve their customers.
This partnership is another step towards empowering the thriving business community by adopting technology for India’s socio-economic development and enabling it to meet new age consumer needs.
