2 on Ladakh trip crash on Yamuna e-way, 1 dead

Lucknow: Two men hailing from Nagpur on a biking trip to Ladakh met with an accident on the Yamuna Expressway under Baldeo police station of Mathura district.

The victims were identified as Prasad Bhore and Ankit Gaidhani (both aged 25 years) were on a Duke KTM 390 motorcycle. Prasad was riding pillion when he dozed off and lost his balance, causing the bike to skid. Ankit, who was riding the bike, could not control it and the vehicle crashed on the road, said the police.

Prasad Bhore suffered grievous injuries and died during treatment at Mathura district hospital while Ankit Gaidhani escaped with minor injuries, police said.

SHO, Baldeo, Sanjay Kumar Tyagi, told newspersons that the two victims had started from Nagpur around 8:30 pm on Friday and drove overnight to reach Agra, over 800 km away. Bhore rode for most of the distance during the night. When Gaidhani was riding the bike, an exhausted Bhore fell asleep on the pillion seat, causing the mobike to lose balance and it crashed on Saturday afternoon. No complaint has been received yet.”

“After the incident, Ankit informed his friends in Agra, following which two friends arrived on the spot and informed police. We called Prasad Bhore’s father, who said that the two men were good friends, and refused to lodge an FIR. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem examination,” said sub-inspector Munendra Rathore.
