Australia leapfrogged India to reach the top of the ICC ODI Rankings after their 2-1 series victory over the hosts in the three-match contest. The visitors sealed the series with a 21-run win in the third and final ODI on Wednesday in Chennai. Under the stand-in skipper Steve Smith, Australia rallied from 0-1 down to inflict a rare home series defeat to India.
