President Droupadi Murmu has praised women dairy entrepreneurs for their contribution to making India self-reliant in milk production. She emphasized the need to provide women entrepreneurs with equal opportunities such as loans, training, and market access. The President acknowledged the National Dairy Research Institute’s contribution to the white revolution and quality education. The dairy sector provides livelihood to eight crore families and contributes about 5% to the country’s GDP. Additionally, the Haryana Chief Minister promised to provide loans to unemployed youths interested in running a dairy industry.
