In Farrukhabad, a student from C.P. Vidya Niketan School attempted suicide by consuming a poisonous substance, following an incident of alleged harassment by one of the teachers. The student had previously reported that he was physically assaulted by the same teacher a few days before the incident.
According to the student, he was locked in a room and subjected to physical assault not only by the teacher but also by the school’s principal and another individual. When he complained about the incident, the school authorities threatened to expel him. In a suicide note, the student accused the teachers of mistreatment and handed it over to the school principal.
Currently, the student is in serious condition and is receiving treatment at a private nursing home.
A video in which the student makes allegations against the school teachers went viral on social media, drawing public attention to the matter.
The C.P. Vidya Niketan School is associated with BJP leader Mithilesh Agrawal, who is also a member of the women’s commission. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, no action has been taken against the teachers so far, raising concerns about the influence of powerful connections.
In response to the incident, the student’s family has filed a complaint against all three teachers involved at the Kayamganj Kotwali police station. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kayamganj Kotwali area, raising further questions about the school’s safety and the responsibility of the authorities.
