President: Murmu Inaugurates INS Vindhyagiri, Boosts Indian Navy’s Strength

As part of the Indian Navy’s “Project 17 Alpha,” this is the sixth vessel out of the seven being built. The inclusion of this modern warship will significantly enhance the Navy’s capabilities. On Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the modern warship INS Vindhyagiri (P17A). President Murmu inaugurated this warship at the premises of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited, situated along the Hooghly River. During the event, the Governor of West Bengal, CV Anand Bose, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were also present. It’s worth noting that this is the sixth vessel out of the seven being built as part of the Indian Navy’s “Project 17 Alpha.” The inclusion of this modern warship will significantly enhance the Navy’s capabilities.
