Shardiya Navratri Maha Ashtami: Today is Maha Ashtami of Shardiya Navratri. Maha Ashtami is also known as Durga Ashtami. It has special importance in Hindu religion. This time Ashtami Tithi has started on 21st October Worshiping the girl on the Ashtami day of Navratri is considered very important. Ashtami and Navami Tithi ends with Kanya Puja.Mother Mahagauri is worshiped on Ashtami Tithi, during Navratri many people keep a special fast as per their wish and then Kanya Puja is also done on Ashtami day. With this Ashtami ends. Some people also perform Kanya Puja on the last day of Navratri i.e. Navami Tithi. Dussehra is celebrated on the next day of Navami Tithi.
