Under the leadership of BJP’s state general secretary Agnimitra Paul and Loket Chatterjee, Bengal police on Thursday afternoon prevented the party’s female leaders from going to the New Town area outside Kolkata to convey messages. Former IPS officer and BJP team member Bharati Ghosh stated that this is highly disrespectful. Referring to the restrictions on demonstrations in New Town, she questioned how the police could stop us in Kolkata.
