The new National Cooperative Policy is almost ready, and the process of presenting the proposal to the central government is underway by the 47-member committee. The committee’s chairman and former Central Minister, Suresh Prabhu, shared this information on Saturday. Central Home and Cooperative Minister, Amit Shah, announced last year that a dedicated policy would be prepared soon to strengthen the cooperative movement in the country, with Suresh Prabhu leading this national-level committee. The committee’s members include experts, representatives from the cooperative sector, and officials from central ministries.
