Open gyms in parks in Delhi are in a state of disrepair, with damaged equipment not being replaced for several months, according to residents. The municipal corporation spends INR4.96 crore ($660,000) annually on repair and maintenance of the 1,775 parks that have such units. The MCD now plans to appoint a private company to take care of annual preventive maintenance, replacement and repair work under the project.
