The Karnataka High Court has taken cognizance of the shortage of doctors in the state’s government hospitals and initiated proceedings. This comes after a news report highlighted a shortage of 16,500 medical staff, including doctors, technicians, and various other healthcare workers in the state. The court has expressed serious concern about this issue and has appointed a legal assistant to assist with the case.
