In Kerala, the state government is on alert regarding West Nile Fever. In a high-level meeting of the health department last week, the state’s health minister directed to intensify pre-monsoon cleanliness activities. District medical officers have been instructed to expedite activities. West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne disease that usually spreads through bites of infected mosquitoes.
