Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday took a dig at the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre, saying that the UPA government had ruined banks by “scams”, but his government restored the financial health of banks and now India is known for its strong banking sector.
Addressing the employment fair after handing over appointment letters to nearly 70,000 people through digital means, Modi underlined that a large number of people who got appointments include those who work in the banking sector.
