New Delhi: On the eve of World Birth Defects Day 2024, the World Health Organization (WHO) on Saturday emphasized the need to raise awareness about birth defects and accelerate efforts to identify, prevent, and treat congenital anomalies in fetuses.
Saima Wajid, the Regional Director for Southeast Asia Affairs at WHO, stated in a statement, “We are reminded that every journey matters, and the journey of health truly begins before birth.”
