PM Modi Paris Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for two countries on Thursday. In the first phase of the visit, PM Modi will reach France and meet President Macron.
am on an official visit to France from 13-14 July at the invitation of my friend French President Emmanuel Macron. This visit is special because I will join President Emmanuel Macron as a special guest in the French National Day or Bastille Day celebrations.
25th anniversary of strategic partnership with France – PM Modi
PM Modi said, “The Indian Tri-Services contingent will be part of the Bastille Day Parade, while Indian Air Force aircraft will fly-past on the occasion.” This year marks the 25th anniversary of our strategic partnership. Rooted in deep trust and commitment, our two countries cooperate closely in various fields including defence, space, blue economy, trade, investment, education, culture and people-to-people relations. We also work together on regional and global issues.
He said, “I look forward to meeting President Macron and holding extensive discussions on taking this long-standing and mature partnership forward over the next 25 years.” Since my last official visit to France in 2022, I have had the opportunity to meet President Macron several times. Recently we met in Hiroshima, Japan in May 2023 during the G-7 summit.
