In Lucknow’s Mohanlalganj, a serious lapse came to light when a student was locked inside a primary school classroom after school hours. The incident occurred at a primary school in the Sisendi village of Mohanlal Ganj. After the school closed for the day, a female student was left locked inside her classroom. It went unnoticed for almost an hour until passersby informed the authorities. The incident came to light when she peered out of the window. Concerned bystanders alerted school staff, and a Shikshamitra (education worker) was called to unlock the door. The girl was visibly distressed and scared. She was offered water and reassured that she would be safely let out soon. It is a serious case of negligence on the part of the school authorities, and an investigation is warranted.
