Since Subhashpa’s NDA alliance and the return of former minister Dara Singh Chauhan to the BJP in July last year, speculations regarding the expansion of the cabinet have been rife. Discussions are underway about appointing Om Prakash Rajbhar, the president of Subhashpa and belonging to the extremely backward Rajbhar caste with significant political influence in several districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, and Dara Singh Chauhan’s brother Loniya Chauhan, to ministerial positions.
