Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is continuously working to make social welfare schemes transparent, simple, and oriented towards public welfare. Special emphasis is being laid on using technology to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach eligible people and to make the government system accountable. Arrangements such as online applications, digital payments, and beneficiary verification have helped make scheme implementation more systematic.
The state is prioritizing digital modes for implementing various Social Welfare Department schemes, including old-age pension, scholarships, and the National Family Benefit Scheme. This makes the process convenient for beneficiaries, from payment to application. At the same time, eligibility verification has strengthened the mechanism to ensure that government assistance reaches those who genuinely need it. The Yogi government is focused on developing a system that prevents unnecessary visits to government offices to access scheme benefits.
The government’s initiative to link scheme applications and payments through online platforms aims to ensure transparency. Digital payments enable direct transfers of assistance to beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the verification process helps confirm eligibility and improve scheme implementation. These measures also aim to strengthen public trust in government schemes.
The Social Welfare Department is also focusing on resolving scheme-related complaints and reviewing pending cases. Emphasis is on ensuring time-bound resolution of issues arising in applications, eligibility, and payments. This is helping address the difficulties faced by beneficiaries while enhancing accountability in the departmental functioning.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare Aseem Arun said the government’s endeavor is to ensure that scheme benefits reach every eligible beneficiary through a transparent system and that people do not face unnecessary difficulties in accessing government facilities.
He clarified that special attention is being paid to strengthening effective scheme implementation, grievance redressal, and the monitoring mechanism.
