In the Lok Sabha Election 2024, Yogendra Singh Tomar, a close associate of former Union Minister and Samajwadi Party’s National General Secretary Salim Iqbal Sherwani, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), considering him his political mentor. Central Minister B.L. Verma on Sunday, with the BJP scarf, facilitated his membership. Yogendra Singh Tomar had resigned from the position of National Secretary of the Samajwadi Party along with Sherwani.
